April 19, 2008
11am - 11pm

This is the fourth annual Earth Day Festival presented by LLyniuM entertainment, in cooperation with the Appalachian South Folklife Center.
The 2008 festival will take place April 19th from 11am-11pm and will include music and dance performances, a panel discussion, a
nature hike, recycled art activities, a planting project and a bean dinner. The event will be followed by an “All Night Open Mic,” the first of a monthly series.
All this will take place at the beautiful Appalachian South Folklife Center in Pipestem, West Virginia. The ASFC is "a progressive, nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to a mountain heritage of freedom and self-reliance; a peaceful place where people of all ages, races, faiths and origins can share community work and creativity. " The center has always been full of music and activism, so the Earth Day festival has found a perfect home.
Guests are welcome to camp for a small charge to benefit the Folklife Center.
